If you wanted to expand your target market when advertising your rental with flyers, you would have to draft up a flyer, print out dozens of copies, then physically go to different grocery stores, gyms and community bulletin boards and put the flyers up yourself.

If you want to reach a lot of people online, you just have to put up one ad. People from all over the county, state, country and even world can easily find it by searching for apartments in the area. You save money by not having to place ads in various papers or from using paper and ink to print out flyers.
